COMPLETE, STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Need additional assistance? We’ve outlined each step fully with details and visuals. Follow along for the full set of instructions, from insertion to disposal.

Step 1: Hold CompactCath by the rim

Place index finger on the handle and thumb on the bottom of the case.

Tip: The catheter will not be able to unroll if you hold the body of the case.

Step 2: Reveal the catheter tip by pinching the sheath

Pinch the sheath to grab and pull the catheter out of the case. Slide the sheath back to reveal the tip — where you’ll notice the polished painless eyelets and the sheen from the silicone oil lubricant.

Step 3: Insert the catheter tip into your body

Pinch the sheath to grip the catheter. This will help you better aim and insert the catheter.

Step 4: Extend the catheter

Pinch the sheath to hold the catheter in place. Pull the case back to extend the catheter by about 1-2 inches.

Tip: Exposing too much catheter will make it difficult to insert. We recommend pulling out no more than 2 inches.

Step 5: Insert more catheter into your body

Loosen grip on the sheath, but do not let go. Use your index finger to press the handle brake and push the case forward.

Repeat step 4 and 5 until catheter has reached the bladder. Again, don’t expose too much catheter when pulling the case back. This will help with controlling the catheter insertion.

Step 6: Aim and drain

When the catheter has reached the bladder, aim and release the drainage spout by pushing down on the funnel.

Tip: Make sure you release the funnel only after you’ve aimed CompactCath, as urine will start to flow immediately. Hold the funnel in place until drainage is complete.

Step 7: Remove the catheter from your body

Loosen grip on the sheath. Use index finger to press the handle brake and slowly pull the case back to remove the catheter from your body.

Tip: Do this slowly and keep your hand on the sheath for control.

Step 8: Coil and dispose

Coil the catheter back into the case by placing thumb on the dial and rotating in a clockwise direction.

Tip: Slip it back into the package for a no-mess and discreet disposal.
