Our multidisciplinary team of physicians, engineers, and MBAs was founded at Stanford d.school’s Design for Service Innovation course in March 2011. We saw a need to innovate upon current catheters in the market, so we applied design thinking methodologies and worked with dozens of physicians, nurses and patients to develop CompactCath. Today, after much work, we have acquired FDA approval and are finally ready to bring CompactCath to market!

Our goal is to design medical devices that fit seamlessly into your life. Thanks to modern medicine, people with chronic conditions who used to be tied to hospital settings are now managing their conditions at home, leading active, independent lives. However, many of the medical devices they use at home have been designed for the hospital, and often come in the way of everyday activities.
We believe that medical devices used daily by those with chronic conditions should be designed to enable active, thriving, independent lives. We envision a world where people will no longer have to fear or fight with their medical devices, so that they can spend their time and energy on the things that really matter in life.
